Not only the design of this new diaper originated from Lise Guay's love for her daughter Anne-Marie, but also from a strong desire that her daughter would grow up in a healthy environment and most of all Lise was concerned about Anne-Marie's comfort.
Michael, Anne-Marie's father, completely endorsed this idea, as he was mostly concerned about the environmental impact of the mass production and waste of millions of disposable diapers each year in Quebec. It was unacceptable to him that one would conceive a child and not be concerned about the environment this child would grow up in.
The large amount of raw material used to produce a diaper that lasts only a couple of hours and the phenomenal amount of residual matter from this disposable diaper were a critical issue that absolutely had to be addressed and an efficient solution was indeed needed.
This is how two loving parents decided to jump head first in this great project of creating THE ingenious diaper: An easy to use diaper for every parent. This diaper respects the environment at all levels but most of all it is comfortable for baby.
With all the love implicated in this great innovation, what better name would this amazing diaper get than « Bébé d'amour » which means loving baby.
The family business joined forces in the cotton diaper revolution. It all started in Val Alain, Quebec in 1989 and Bébé d'amour products are now sold everywhere in Canada and France.
In 2010, with the taste of a new challenge, surrounded by family and counselors users, Francine engages the responsibility of the company that constantly continues to grow "For today and tomorrow."
